As a UX professional, I’ve seen the remarkable impact AI can have on the field of user experience (UX) evaluation. By integrating AI into the evaluation process, UX practitioners can unlock new insights and efficiencies that lead to improved user experiences. However, this integration must be approached with care to ensure successful collaboration between humans and AI.
Two crucial factors to consider in human-AI collaboration are explanations and synchronization (Fan et al., 2022). Explanations help UX evaluators better understand the AI’s reasoning and increase their trust in the system. Synchronization, on the other hand, refers to the timing and manner in which AI suggestions are presented, affecting how UX evaluators interact with the AI. Based on these factors, I’d like to share some thoughts on the future of AI-integrated UX evaluation.
The Role of Explanations in AI-Enhanced UX Evaluation
Explanations are essential for helping UX evaluators understand the AI’s decision-making process.
